Our team at the Hall Hunger Initiative is composed of key individuals, who are passionate about solving hunger in our community. We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live healthy lives.
Ambassador Tony Hall, Founder- Ambassador Tony Hall has the longest tenure as the Former Congressman of the third district of Ohio. He is also the Former United Nation's Ambassador for Food and Agriculture and current Executive Director Emeritus of the Alliance to End Hunger.
Mark Willis, Director of our team and Former County Commissioner Assistant- Mark is passionate about educating folks on the historical policies leading to our nation's food inequity. Mark can be reached for scheduling speaking engagements, the Racial Wealth Gap Simulation, and tabling opportunities. Mark is instrumental in the advocacy and promotion of legislation, SNAP, community events, and our partners' work. He is also a really great photographer and loves to take pictures of community events. Stephanie Patiño-Garfias, AmeriCorps VISTA- Stephanie, a graduate of Wright State University, is a member of our team as she is deeply committed to the needs of the Latinx community. During her service, she coordinated a Posada, bringing the Latinx community and our team together to share food and discussion. She is a source for Spanish and Arabic translations. She is also working on establishing a Latinx food pantry. In her time off, she is working on her law degree, specific to immigration rights. Nicole Wasmuth, AmeriCorps VISTA- Nicole, also a Registered Nurse, realizes access to healthy food plays a big role in chronic disease development and compliance. With HHI, she coordinated 27 food and sustainability educators to Thurgood Marshall for their PBL projects. Nicole continues to be a resource for community outreach and capacity building. In addition, she is developing HHI's website and newsletter to publish the community's efforts towards increased food security.
